MINERVA WARRANTY POLICY

Tayarlo Sdn Bhd (“Tayarlo”) is an exclusive distributor in Malaysia to sell and maintain the range of Minerva tyre products. Tayarlo Sdn Bhd has made every effort to ensure the highest standards of material and workmanship of the tyres supplied by them in Malaysia. Subject to the terms and conditions set out herein, Tayarlo hereby warrants that the tyres supplied to its Customer are warranted against failure to complete their recommended life span as a result of any inherent deficiency relating to designs, materials or workmanship.

Points of coverage

The warranty offered by Tayarlo comprises of two primary warranties namely:-

   A)    Four (4) years Limited Warranty: and

   B)    Six (6) months “We care Road Hazard” Warranty:

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS: FOUR (4) YEARS LIMITED WARRANTY

1. Minerva tyres bearing Minerva serial numbers, unless otherwise stated are warranted against failure to complete their recommended life span as a result of any manufacturing defects in relation to design, materials or workmanship.

2. This warranty is covered within 4 years from the date of purchase stated in the original invoice (issued by an authorized dealer of Minerva appointed by Tayarlo) or 4 years of limited warranty from the date of manufacturing in the event the original invoice is not available.

3. This warranty shall be valid throughout the tyre's first tread life (new tyres) to the remaining tread wear of 1.6 mm. The average remaining tread life is calculated as a percentage and is based on the measured remaining tread depth down to the Tread Wear Indicator (TWI of 1.6mm), relative to the new tyre’s legally useable non-skid depth.

*Current non-skid depth = Measured remaining tread depth.

*TWI = Tread Wear indicator (1.6mm)

*Average Remaining Tread Life = Average usable tread depth measured across the tyre

 

4. In assessing the damage, the ultimate decision after the investigation shall remain at the discretion of Tayarlo’s Technical Service Representatives or Tayarlo’s authorised parties. The decision made shall be final and conclusive.

5. The tyres covered by this warranty policy must be tyres purchased from an authorised distributor in Malaysia appointed by Tayarlo, and the tyres must have been used in normal usage for most of the time in Malaysia.

6. A fair and reasonable allowance will be granted towards the purchase of new Minerva tyres. Any such allowance will be based on the average remaining tread wear.

 

EXCLUSIONS OF WARRANTY: FOUR (4) YEARS LIMITED WARRANTY

1. This warranty shall not cover tyre failure and/or damage due to circumstances beyond Tayarlo’s control which include but are not limited to the following:

1.1     Tyre damage/failure due to road hazard damages such as cuts or punctures regardless if it is repairable or not;

1.2     Tyre damage/failure due to willful damage, reckless, vandalism, abuse or speed practices;

1.3     Tyre damage/failure due to incorrect mounting and dismounting, incorrect;

1.4     Tyre damage/failure due to mechanical irregularities in the vehicle such as wheel misalignment, faulty shock absorbers and brakes;

1.5     Tyre damage/failure due to improper inflation and/or improper load;

1.6     Tyre fitted to or used with incompatible or improper valves, rims or wheels;

1.7     Tyre damage/failure due to modifications added to tyres /tubes/flaps after leaving a Tayarlo warehouse;

1.8     Tyre damage/failure due to improper storage conditions;

1.9     Tyre which has exceeded the life of the original usable tread depth or more than four (4) years from the date of purchase, whichever occurs first;

1.10     Tyre used for wrong applications (on-road tyre used for off-road purposes); and

1.11     Tyre purchased from any unauthorised channels or dealers other than Tayarlo or Tayorlo’s authorised dealer.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: SIX (6) MONTHS “WE CARE ROAD HAZARD” WARRANTY

“We Care Road Hazard”, offered by Tayarlo is a value-added warranty programme which offers customers all-around coverage and a worry-free driving experience. It will further enhance the benefits to customers and the reliability of the tyres.

1. “We Care Road Hazard” specifically covers damage to tyres which becomes unserviceable as a result of a puncture, bruise, or impact caused during the course of normal driving on a maintained road. The most frequent causes of road hazard damage are, for example, nails, glass shards and potholes.

2. This warranty is only valid within 6 months following the date of purchase and/or the remaining tread depth of the tyre is more than 6.0mm, whichever comes first.

3. The benefit of this warranty is exclusively for the first owner of the tyre and is non-transferable. This warranty shall be registered by the first owner of the tyre upon registration of the warranty.

4. Tayarlo will compensate the affected tyre/s with a brand new tyre of the same size and design without any cost following assessment by an Authorised Technical Associate from Tayarlo or Tayarlo authorised parties.

5. This warranty shall be void if customers are unable to provide original copies of their proof of purchase (sales invoice/official receipt) or did not register for the E-warranty upon purchase.

 

EXCLUSIONS OF WARRANTY: 6-MONTHS  “WE CARE ROAD HAZARD” WARRANTY

1. This warranty shall not cover tyre failure and/or damage due to circumstances beyond Tayarlo’s control which include but are not limited to the following:

1.1     Tyre damage/failure due to willful damage, reckless, vandalism, abuse or speed practices;

1.2     Tyre damage/failure due to incorrect mounting and dismounting, incorrect;

1.3     Tyre damage/failure due to mechanical irregularities in the vehicle such as wheel misalignment, faulty shock absorbers and brakes;

1.4     Tyre damage/failure due to improper inflation and/or improper load;

1.5     Tyre fitted to or used with incompatible or improper valves, rims or wheels;

1.6     Tyre damage/failure due to modifications added to tyres/tubes/flaps after leaving Tayarlo’s warehouse or authorised dealer’s premises;

1.7     Tyre damage/failure due to improper storage conditions;

1.8     Tyre with less than 6mm of treadwear remaining or more than 6 months from the date of purchase, whichever comes first;

1.9     Tyre damage used for the incorrect type of vehicle (wrong application),

1.10     Tyre used on vehicles for commercial purposes or public utility (eg. grab service, car rental, taxi, and others)

1.11     Tyre used for wrong applications (on-road tyre used for off-road purposes); and

1.12     Tyre purchased from unauthorised channels or dealers other than Tayarlo or Tayorlo’s authorised dealer.


2.     This warranty shall not cover for purchase of tyre model transport RF19 (commercial Light tyre truck).

WARRANTY REGISTRATION PROCESS

a)     Customers who purchase Minerva tyres at participating authorised outlets will need to register their information in the link.

b)     To activate their warranty, customers should verify their E-Warranty generated from Tayarlo.

c)     The following information will be required at the point of registration: customer name, address, email address and contact number, vehicle details (plate number, make, model and year), Warranty Card serial number, tyre details, and outlet purchase information.

d)     Customers will also be required to submit a digital copy of their Proof of Purchase (sales invoice/official receipt).

e)     Customers who receive a confirmation email must ensure that all required details are provided and correct. In this case, all information shared will be uploaded onto the E-warranty system. Following this, a confirmation SMS or email will be sent to the customer along with further details.

 

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

a)     Customers are to present their damaged applicable Minerva tyre(s), original copy of Proof of Purchase (sales invoice/official receipt) / copy of the registration of the Customer on the E-warranty system at any authorised Minerva outlet.

b)     Tyre will only be considered under warranty if the damage is due to a manufacturing defect, and if it falls within a valid tyre age/duration of use under four (4) years Limited Warranty or if the tyre failure and/or damage is due to the circumstances spell out under “We Care Road Hazard” Warranty. The damage will be assessed by an authorised Technical Associate from Tayarlo. Tyres purchased from authorised dealers only in Malaysia are eligible for a warranty.

c)     If the tyre is found to be defective and valid for warranty: Tayarlo will provide replacement of a new tyre with the same size and design (or an equivalent design/model with similar size construction/quality depending on the availability of the tyre). Customers will be required to fill up and authorise the claim form provided to facilitate credit processing. All replaced tyres shall be surrendered to the authorised dealers and will be considered property of Tayarlo. Tyre damage analysis determined by Tayarlo shall remain final and conclusive.

d)     lf the tyre is not found to be defective, or damage is not due to a manufacturing defect: Tyre will be returned to the customer and a formal explanation by Tayarlo Technical Officer will be provided.

 

GENERAL

1. This warranty applies only in Malaysia, subject to Malaysian law and Malaysian Court jurisdiction.

2. This warranty shall apply only for the tyre purchased from an authorised distributor in Malaysia appointed by Tayarlo.

3. Tayarlo reserves the right to the final inspection decision on conditions for all tyres returned within the warranty program.

4. This warranty does not provide compensation for service charges incurred, charges for mounting and balancing, loss of time, loss of use of vehicle, inconvenience or consequential damage insofar as the law permits.

5. Tayarlo reserves the right to change, amend, modify, suspend, continue or terminate all or any part of the warranty at any time without prior notice.
